Number six is still howling for her lost mate, she continues to go on with life and take care of her babies as she grows stronger. A town meeting is called to search for Stuart, run by Lainey's brothers. Inti explains to the crowd that wolves don't eat the stomach of their kill, which is how she found Stuart. She is not believed. The fear is building. Inti tries to talk to Lainey but is not allowed to.
Inti is worried about the survival of the wolves. Aggie confronts Inti about knowing about her pregnancy. Both women agree that no one has to know anything, even Duncan, even thought Inti is not so sure about not telling him. She visits Duncan and he is having a dinner party and finds out they others know of Inti's alibi to cover her time, when Stuart was killed. Lainey arrives for Duncan's help to help her bury Stuart. Inti discovers that Lainey and Duncan used to be sweethearts at one time. Now she is wondering if they were having an affair.
