Around the World in 80 Books discussion

Post your nominations here for the Nvember group reads. A significant portion of the book must be set in the featured location. We will be reading 3 books:
1) a selection set in Montenegro,
2) a book set on an island from one of the following Western or Central Asian locations: Aegean Sea, Aral Sea, Black Sea, Caspian Sea, Eastern Mediterranean Sea, Gulf of Aden, Persian Gulf, Red Sea, islands belonging to Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Georgia, Iraq, Iran, Israel, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Oman, Pakistan, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates, or Yemen. Also, islands associated with Cyprus and Akrotiri and Dhekelia are included.
3) a book that is either written by a woman author outside of the United States (and is set outside of the US). I am including women as minorities, in that they represent a minority in literature.

Islands
Nominate a book set on an island from Western or Central Asia (see locations above). This can be an island country, territory, or island belonging to a larger country.

Minority or Maginalized Author
Nominate a book written by a female author who lives outside of the United States.
