Would love to hear other readers’ opinions as to the ending of this marvelous book. Obviously there will be spoilers.

I loved the end. Yes, we were all rooting for Ann to get back to her old life, even though she had begun to make some great connections in her new life. But the charm was in that thing that people often say, "If I'd only known this when I was..." By the time we've learned the life lesson, life has moved on so it can't be applied to the old situation. In this story, Ann got to experience the life lessons of the other lifeline while she was still able to make use of them in the present. Having seen the healed relationship with her sister, and the sucess of her artwork, she was able to change these in her old life. And when she took the same path with her art, it isn't unlikely that Piper would come into her life. The only real loss was what might have happened with Jonathan. I found this all not only plausible, but very satisfying.

Ty for sharing!
