Candice | 17 comments I noticed Prime Reading has a lot of classics available. I know I read some in high school, but maybe would appreciate them more as an adult.

So, where should I start? What are your favorite classics!?

Marcy (marzipantz) | 13 comments Anything Jane Austen

Edith Wharton is really good.

Graham Greene novels.

Daphne duMaurier

Marcy (marzipantz) | 13 comments I see Emily of New Moon is on there by LM Montgomery. I love that book so much. It’s like Anne of Green Gables with less sugar.

Grace Kishlar | 2 comments I second the Jane Austen and LM Montgomery recommendations! Both are absolutely lovely. I would also recommend Til We Have Faces, The Man Who Was Thursday, The Stranger, All Quiet on the Western Front, Jane Eyre, Little Women, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Animal Farm, A Little Princess, PG Wodehouse's Jeeves and Wooster series, or Dostoevsky if you want a challenge.

Sara | 1 comments Absolutely second any P.G. Wodehouse recommendation. He's one of my favorite authors.

For your consideration as well:
- North and South (a little Jane Austen, a little Charles Dickens)
- Far from the Madding Crowd (if you don't mind taking a bit to adjust to an older writing style, the story is beautiful in my opinion)
- Les Miserables (if and only if you can find an abbridged version; the unabridged version literally spends an entire chapter talking about someone's budget. No one has time for that, Victor.)
