Inti continues to keep her pregnancy a secret. The police continue to search for answers about Stuart's disappearance and determine the suspects in the case, including Duncan. Inti attempts to talk to Lainey at the Burns farm and brings food. Lainey does not open the door and Inti leaves the food on the porch. Inti invites Duncan go with her to observe wolves with hopes of changing his mind about them. Duncan shares with Inti how his parents died. Inti shares with Duncan how Aggie was beaten by her husband and how she has taken care of her ever since.
Inti explains to Duncan that in order to save the wolves, the predators must also be saved and her involvement in conservation. He also explains his need for becoming a policeman, to control his rage and anger and help with keeping the peace for all. Inti reflected on memories about how Gus had treated Aggie so badly. Inti asked Aggie to leave him.
Inti and Duncan are able to share with each other difficult times in their past and the reasons they chose the professions they have. Will they began to understand each other more? The past continues to haunt Duncan and Inti both, will they ever be able to move forward from it? Can Inti help Aggie move forward from the memories of Gus? Can Inti?
