Mr. Ramirez was in his classroom, he grabbed his coffee mug and opened up his computer and typed on his laptop. He moved over to his computer he had in his office and typed on that. Once he finished , he closed his laptop and computer and walked over to his whiteboard and drew somethings on it. He hummed a song while he drew on his whiteboard. Once he finished, he put the cap on the whiteboard marker and set it down. He walked around his classroom and erased the pictures he had previously drawn and wrote a couple languages on his board. Things such as Bonjour meaning "Hello" in english. He also wrote down Hola, Bienvenido a mi clase!, that meant, Hello Welcome to my class!

Oakley walked in knowing that this was her first class. She was skeptical, but a little prepared for she knew how to speak french.

Micah entered the classroom, spending no time to pick a spot in the very back corner. He said nothing to the others in the room, just opened a notebook and began doodling, waiting for class to start.

Mr. Ramirez looked up, "Welcome to my class" he said. "I'm sure you'll find my class helpful, if not at least useful," he set down his mug and said, "In this class you will learn different languages, you will also receive daily notes on pronuncations and other useful things. For the first lesson, we will learn spanish, then french," He wrote a sentence on the board. The board now read, Hola, Mi Nombre es . He set down the marker and said, "So basically what this means is Hello, My name is. All right everyone take out your notebooks, this is the first Pronouncation we will have," He picked up his mug and took a sip out of it. "But first, I think we should get to know each other," he smiled warmly at the class. "I'll go first," he said, "And if anyone has questions feel free to raise their hand, or put the question in my help box," he pointed to a little box that said, "Mr. Ramirez's Help Box"

Micah looked up from his doodles, pushing his dark hair from his face. He already knew Spanish. This class should be easy. He pulled out another notebook and opening it to the first page. He wrote in sharp, neat letters:

Hola, Mi Nombre es
Hello, my name is

He sighed and raised his hand, a question arose in his mind.

Mr. Ramirez looked over at Micah, "Oh A question" he said, "All right, Let's hear it, I believe Your name is Micah" he said looking at his attendance list. He set down the list and looked at Micah. He also set down his pen as well, and took another sip out of his mug. Ah yes, people already having a question, nothing I like more , he thought as he set down the mug

"Yes," he said, his hand falling down. "Um, so, we're spies, right? So, just in general, when would we have conversations that involved our name or alias name?" Micah hoped he didn't sound rude, he didn't want to sound bad, he just wanted to know. He was training to be a top spy for this school, he was going to ask all his teachers all his questions.

Mr. Ramirez said, "Knew that question would come along, say a officer noticed you and spoke, gee I don't know spanish. In the worst case scenario, he/she wouldn't understand english, so hence learning a language can come handy, I've had my shares, of being stopped many times," he took a sip out of his mug again. "Trust me it always comes in handy, espiecally when you're being noticed."

Micah nodded, picking his mechanical pencil up again and taking a note on his paper. "Thank you, sir," he said quietly, not looking up.

Oakley looked at the board, puzzled. Um, spanish is a lot harder than I thought it would be.

Mr. Ramirez nods, "Anytime, for our spanish unit, we will begin very slowly with very slow pronunciation for the words and work our way up, until the class feels ready to tackle the harder words," he FInished his attendance list and set the pen back down. "I think the best place to begin is by learning our numbers, if you need help Please don't hesitate to ask me, that's what I'm here. To help you guys learn," he said. Hopefully this will be very easy , He thought

Micah nodded once and looked up from his notes, his eyes focused on Mr. Ramirez. He knew some Spanish, like common phrases and things like that. He didn't really talk in Spanish though, he thought it sounded weird with his slightly American British accent.

Mr. Ramirez picked up a whiteboard marker and wrote a couple of numbers. The numbers were Uno, Dos, Tres. "ALl right, I have a bit of a trick for remembering Uno." he said

Micah grumbled under his breath. They were starting with numbers? Seriously? Micah wished they could start with something a little more complicated, something he hadn't learned yet.

"But since I believe a couple of you know number,," he noticed Micah's expression. "I'll split us up into groups, One group can work on easy stuff, and the other can work on harder stuff with me," He spilt his white board in half with his marker.

Micah nearly sighed with relief. So I'm in the better group now, am I? He nodded, shutting his notebook, preparing to have to move closer.

He nods, "For Micah you will be in the advanced group, and for Oakley you will be in the beginning section," he said. He took another sip out of his mug. "since the advanced section is focusing on past and present tense, it will be a bit tricky to handle at first, but once you get used to it, you'll be able to form past sentences and present-tense and future sentences," he set down the mug.

Micah nodded, and moved up closer to the board. "I should be able to handle it," he said. I know I can. Sometimes he had trouble with remembering the different past and present tenses, he was always saying the wrong thing. So this should help him.

Mr. Ramirez nods and wrote on the board a chart looking very similar to this:



"This is our present tense endings" he said setting down the marker.

Micah studied the board, copying the chart in his notes. He nodded and set down his pencil, signaling he was ready for the next step.

Mr. Ramirez nods, "all right so if i have this verb, Cantar- to sing. What would be if We were singing? It would be Amos." He wrote Cantamos on the board, "That basically means we Sing"

"Cantar-to sing. Cantamos-we sing," he muttered to himself as he wrote it down. "Isn't there another way to say 'we' in Spanish?"

He nods, "Yes, that would be Nostors cantar" he said

Oakley knew the beginning of the numbers. To thirty at least. Her grandma was of spanish descent, and knew how to speak spanish. But Oakley didn't learn a lot of the language because she never spent time with her grandma. She wrote down the numbers, uno, dos, tres, cuatro, cinco, seis, siete, ocho, nueve, diez.

Mr. Ramirez wandered over to see how Oakley was doing. "Keep up the good work Kiddo," he said as he heard a knock on the door. He opened the door, "Oh hey Diego," he said and ruffled Diego's hair.

Diego nodded, "Hey dad" he said and set his stuff down near his father's desk.

Micah's sharp eyes looked up when he heard Diego come in. He set his pencil down, and for the first time yet, actually looked around the room.

mR. Ramirez looked at his son, "Hey kiddo, how ya doing?" he asked softly, but keeping a good ruler- length away. He knew his son hated germs

Diego nods, "Eh, it's going ok," he said, while taking out a piece of homework

Micah watched the two of them, wait patiently for Mr. Ramirez to continue.

Mr. Ramirez turned back to his board while also keeping his eyes on Diego. He wrote some more word son the board. Too bad he doesn't talk much he thought as he wrote down some more words on the board in spanish.

Micah copied the words down, and how to pronounce them, while he muttered the words under his breath.

he eventually finished his homework and set it on Mr. Ramirez's desk and also left a note there. Carefully he went back to his dek and brought out some more homework and brought out a book in chinese. He opened the book to page 20

Micah looked over at Diego, his sharp eyes studying him. Just another teacher's kid. Nothing important. He focused back on his work and waited for Mr. Ramirez to continue.

Mr.ramirez turned to Diego and said, "I got another pair of handwipes," he said. "In the back cabinet," he nodded to the back cabinet

Diego nods, "thanks dad," he said and went to the back cabinet
