the creature alliance - semi advanced discussion

the hare and rabbit kingdom
the two kingdoms actually used to be one a long time ago, called the leporidae kingdom, but had a civil war and split apart. when the opposing kingdoms found it would be in their best interest to create an alliance, the two married and proposed their idea to the other kingdoms. now they work like one kingdom, but are still technically two different ones.
the feline kingdom's soon betrayal
not to spoil or anything, but the feline kingdom wishes to break the alliance between the kingdoms. why, you may ask? well, in the beginning it wasn't like that. even though the feline ruler at the time was apprehensive, they still agreed and believed the alliance was beneficial. the latest ruler, however, completely disagrees and believes that it is better to not mix with other animals and to, instead of living in harmony, expand their land and dominate those weaker.
the feline queen has been changing the laws bit by bit and adding more and more hoops to jump in order to immigrate or trade.
the fish kingdom's neutrality
the fish kingdom was one of the kingdoms invited to the feast, but they did not attend. the only difference between them and the other kingdoms that didn't come was that they are one of the more powerful kingdoms. the fish kingdom trades with each of the kingdoms still, but doesn't claim to be friendly with any of them and more stands on its own. now that tensions are rising with the feline kingdom, it has become impertinent to both sides that they get the fish kingdom to pick.
the snake kingdom's financial status
after a long and taxing battle against the fox kingdom, the snake kingdom ended up coming out the loser. they had already been a smaller kingdom, but their wealth had made them well known. even that was dwindling. their citizens are now growing angry at the increasing taxes and lack of funds. the snake kingdom is an easy target for any kingdom looking for an ally. money is highly sought, after all.
explaining stupid plot hole i made
so i'm gonna pretend this was the plot all along and not that i'm stupid and not smart but this has been bugging me for a long time and i have caved and choose not to ignore this. anyways, the canine kingdom used to be called the canidae kingdom but long ago split apart due to a war, the wolves versus the vulpines (being general with species). then, of course, the alliance formed and the two both joined, eventually coming to friendly terms. after a long stretch of time, the two joined together once more and "canidae" and "canine" became interchangeable terms, often used hand in hand.
*grins triumphantly* i hope that explanation makes sense. i'm really sad about the plot hole but i'll try my best to solve them if they ever come up again in the future. i suppose it wasn't that big of a deal, but it is to me!
dragon kingdom information - provided by magnolia
So the dragon kingdom was one of the first founded kingdom, way long ago, they age every 1000 years (ex: esperanza is 1700 but looks 17). Also the dragons take on a dragon-human from and a human form that doesn't have any relations to other kingdoms. When war broke out, (this being one of the largest in the past), other kingdoms wanted the dragons on their side because of their abilities and powers along with the fact of how much knowledge they had kept in records. Of course they were a very passive group and refused, all of them returning to their kingdom (note there are very few dragons in general), a messenger from one of the kingdoms was sent to try and reason with them but returned saying the kingdom of dragons had been abandoned. Out of anger against the dragons the other kingdoms burned down the city to get ride of any evidence that they existed, and in turn through the years have assumed they are extinct.
How they social hierarchy works is more so they have the elders, who make the large decisions and are very old, there has never been a young elder and never will be because they need to knowledge. Most elders have been around since they abandoned their home, in total there are 4 elder dragons ranging from the ages of 70 000 and 111 000 years old. They live in the Knowledge Hall, which is a building made to store all the knowledge records and a few odd younger dragons (esperanza being one of the few). Next is the average dragon, they live in the village and when there are meetings all the dragons gather to discuss matters with the elders, and will spend days on end making a decision. Not eating or sleeping during that meeting, the longest recorded was about a week and a half.
Other things to know:
The dragons tend to keep to themselves even in their village
They don't like to change, whether that be tradition or simply the way they do things
The dragon village is sort of like old Japan, (in looks)
The dragons are very close to space/astrology one of the strongest in this knowledge field is esperanza, who was born and able to actually hear the spirits (this has never been possibly before her birth)
Finally I would like to keep the number of dragons kinda low, because I kinda came up with this a while ago for a book and have changed it slightly to work with this, so I don't want anything else changed or mixed up
how the fox and canine kingdom joined together
apologies for neglecting to add this sooner seeing as i totally forgot. well, now i'm making up for it. you've probably wondered if a fox is more feline or more canine and the fox kingdom was quite conflicted with this as well. they were extremely small on their own, but suddenly two large kingdoms were offering for them to become one with them. the feline and canine kingdom. it wasn't very climactic and no war or battles ever happened, but the fox kingdom eventually made the decision to join the canine kingdom. there are still some, however, that believe they should have joined the feline kingdom and advocate for that.
technically, some of these names should be capitalized
this is optional for style choices and i've done this kind of interchangeably, but you would capitalize American or European and others, so it would make grammatical sense to to say Feline, Cat, Canine, Rabbit instead of having it lowercase. it's optional, but it would make more sense to do it that way. i'm really bad at doing it to be honest, but i should be trying harder haha.
i kinda solved plothole for having pets!!!
yeah, so if you don't know, baby cats and stuff are infants. so think of a dog you'd see in real life, that would basically be a child, although they'd be a puppy. there aren't really adult versions of the animals you see in day to day life, only the normal ocs we have, but pets will perpetually be children and i finally thought of a reason, though it is a little weird.
a mutation occurred where some people would give birth and they just wouldn't grow up. a lot of them go into foster care and stuff because parents can't handle taking care of an infant forever, but some actually enjoy it and find that they still can maintain a sort of personality. now, i'm not sure how this mutation spread, though it has been around for a while.

i'll be putting information on how the kingdoms work and the past between them and just stuff that is useful to understand the roleplay
