Michelle Completion Post - Book 1

Kingdom of the Cursed (Kingdom of the Wicked, #2) by Kerri Maniscalco

Book - Kingdom of the Cursed
Author - Kerri Maniscalco
Date - 11/19/21
rating - 3 Stars
Review - I like the story, but I think the romance (if you really want to call it that) overshadows everything. Emilia is an ok character, but she has the maturity of a 14 year girl at her first high school dance trying to get with a boy she likes. In other words she acts a bit stupid and airheaded. Why a gazillion year old demon thinks that this 17 year old girl is all that and a bag of chips is confusing.. With all the "I think I'm gonna sex her/him up, you begin to lose sight of why Emilia sold her soul and went into the 7 circles of hell.
I was not a fan of the repetitiveness either. The book really did not work for me and it took me forever to finish. I'll read the 3rd one though because I'm invested and need to know what will happen in the end.

I'm so sorry for forgetting this. I had my some work things come up and an issue arose with my step children and this is the first since signing up I've gotten to sit down and go through my own things/fun things.

Sorry again for being late. I read Blindness. I really enjoyed it but it was not at all what I expected. It is always nice to be surprised by a book. Thanks again for the picks.

I'm so glad you loved A Man Called Ove :) I feel like a lot of people are divided on it, they either love it or hate it so I was a little scared to recommend it haha. It definitely had me laughing and sobbing too though so I'm glad you could relate!
