Can anyone recommend a modern book series like the "The Death Merchant" series by Joseph r. rosenberger? I wish i could read the entire Death Merchant series, but sadly many of the books are out of print.

There are quite a few of the DM books available on Abebooks. https://www.abebooks.com/servlet/Sear...
Of course, it's a long running series that started in the early 70s, so I'm sure it would be tough to find them all. They're similar enough to the Mack Bolan books that I'd think some folks would still trade them, though.
Neither were to my taste, but I really liked The Destroyer which made fun of them & everything else. One of the authors was Richard Sapir who was a political columnist so his acumen combined with Murphy's wit very well. (Murphy wrote the Fletch books.) The humor is time sensitive, so I don't think some of it would make sense today unless you lived through the times & remember the issues.
Sapir died when the Destroyer books were in the 60s somewhere. Murphy kept writing them well over the 100 mark. He even started a New Destroyer series, but the book or two I read seemed the same as the old & they were lacking after Sapir died. I have all of the first 75 or so plus a couple/few dozen more in a couple of boxes under my bed. I doubt I'll ever read them again, but I hate to toss them.
funny you should mention the Destroyer series I'm actually reading that right now as a matter of fact. thank you for recommending Abe books I will definitely make some purchases from there and I also have a used bookstore that sells primarily novels near me and I'm going to try to see if I can find some there but I'm not holding my breath.
