I am looking for police procedurals, crime series such as The Wire in the Blood series by Val McDermid. I have read most of Patricia Cornwell and I have also discovered John Sandford but I am looking specifically for police procedurals/crime mysteries about SK that DONT have the SK's POV. It is one of the things I really dislike. Very sometimes it can be acceptable but I really want to find a gritty one POV procedural or Crime Mystery and most I look at don't have that. Hoping you can help.

While they don't necessarily have SK's in their books (or all of them, anyway), if you like gritty and procedural you might want to give these two authors a try:
1) Lynda La Plante - author of the novels that became the "Prime Suspect" TV series, and other series more recently, such as the Anna Travis series;
2) Tana French - her Dublin Murder Squad series in particular (be sure to read them in order) and some stand-alone books.
