I nominate The Song of the Dodo: Island Biogeography in an Age of Extinctions. It's been on my to read shelf for a long time, and it looks like a good read.
Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind is too recent. It was first published this month, but looks like regular publication won't occur until next year.
Looks like The Moral Arc: How Science and Reason Lead Humanity toward Truth, Justice, and Freedom is also too new. Regular publication just occurred last month. Although one edition shows a publication date of January 2014, I suspect that was a pre-release just for reviews.
The First Brain: The Neuroscience of PlanariansI nominate "The First Brain: The Neuroscience of Planarians". This is a popular science book published by Oxford University Press.
***Note: I am the author of the book. As per Betsy's message, it is ok for me to nominate it as long as I disclose authorship*** Thanks!

Note that, we only had seven valid nominations so I added a couple of books that had been nominated several times previously.
The poll will close on February 25.

You may nominate a book which has been suggested previously and did not win. Please do not nominate a book which was just published within the last three months because they may not be available to all members.
Nominations will close on February 18 or when we have about 10 good nominations, whichever occurs first.
