i honestly hate this drawing and i don't know why :( i think it looks good but i can't tell because i really hate it and i don't want to but i just do
my parents gave what I consider mediocre reactions and just said it was good :| idk I feel bad about this one even though it feels on the same level as my other stuff. though maybe that's the problem? no one ever critiques me really so I wouldn't know

I like it! It reminds me of Mexican culture. I think it's the colors.

it was done in colored pencils! i used prismacolors. lately i've been doing a lot with colored pencils although i want to try oil paints (but i have no idea how they even work so-)

It looks really nice! I tend to use colored pencils for my drawings, but I've never used Prismacolors. I use Crayola lol

prismacolors are very pigmented and honestly great quality. i'd try them out :) crayons are nice though i haven't used them in a while. i find it hard to make them fill in the white spaces in drawings, y'know?

Never had them. I've never really asked for them. I want to try them out later though. For the white spaces, I just color in different directions. If you color left diagonally, then color right diagonally, it has more coverage. It's the same if you color in any direction. Just go in the opposite direction after, and if should cover the white well

ooh thank you! i'm gonna try that :) it'll certainly make things easier. prismacolors are very worth it, though they are expensive. since they put a lot of pigment in them they break easier, so if you do get them i'd try to be careful.

a drawing of one of my favorite musicians, yeule
update to that last post, i'm going to try to work on proportions more with my art. i got some lovely advice and they compared one of my art to "uncanny valley" which is pretty accurate.
for instance, in the drawing of yeule, her boobs need to be more slanted and further leaning. there's also something off about her jawline, maybe not the shape (??), but it feels like it's too wide. or maybe the hair needed to be closer to the rest of her.
i also should probably be using darker pencils during the black areas as i'm always way too lazy to do that and it ends up looking streaky.
i'm mainly writing this for myself as well xd, but if you guys have any advice you can add to this
