Teachmycat2read Podcast (teachmycat2readpod) | 2 comments Hello all!

We are curious to know which are your favourite Discworld books? We’ve read so far on our book podcast Small Gods (https://linktr.ee/Teaching.My.Cat.to....) and loved it! We’re planning on reading The Hogfather for our Christmas episode 🥰

Which is your favourite Discworld book and why?

Carole | 8 comments My favourite is The Truth, for its astute treatment of the press - and for that great quote about people who say ‘no offence’! Soul Music is so good too, love the puns on well-known names, and the way he indicates a Welsh accent simply by doubling up all the ls.

Carole | 8 comments Oh, and Carpe Jugulum. Impossible to say just one favourite really. Often one great line sticks in the memory (eg in this one, ‘In the morning,’ said Nanny Ogg...)

Claire Martin (cmartin29) | 2 comments The books that feature my favorite coven are my favorite, and Hogfather (usually) is re-read around Hogswatch time:-)

Mariana Krasteva | 1 comments My favourite books are Pyramids and Equal Rites. The first one because I like the part with the living dead pharoes. I favour the second one because it is a parody of those old fashion prejudice about women not being able to do anything that includes thinking, studying, education etc.

D.L. Morrese (dl_morrese) | 53 comments My favorite Discworld book? That's like asking me to choose my favorite child. I love them all.

sabagrey My favourite Discworld book is the one I feel an itch to re-read just now.

Becci | 11 comments THey're all my favourite at one time or another - depending on mood and inclination... Except Equal Rite - can't get through it usually....
I do have more of a preference for the City Guard...
