I would love, love, loveeee to hear what you guys want out of this group! I'm literally super excited for this. Not sure why, but I am! It's like that feeling you get when you're waiting in line before a roller coaster or when you're about to give a speech or presentation or performance or something!

So! I want suggestions from all of you, please!!! What do you want? What discussions do you want to have about books, fantasy, and faith? Do you have any suggestions for fun games we could play? Would buddy reads or a monthly BOTM read be something you'd be interested in? And let me know if you come up with any other ideas, too! I love ideas!

I have an idea for a game. In a Marvel group I'm in, they start off with a character and then say a character that starts off with the last letter of the previous character. So for example, I start off with Esther. Then the next person can say Ruth. Then the next person can say Hezekiah. And it goes on and on!!

Do you guys get that? I can clarify if it's confusing.

Ohhh Bible characters!!! Yes, got it!! You know what's crazy is I was actually thinking about doing something similar except just more broad because I was thinking like the same game but with any word that's in the Bible (you just have to cite the verse). Now idk which one I should do 😂

yeah that's a great idea Kara! or like a guess that song game where we say a line of lyrics and people have to guess. but dont make it easy like "amazing grace, how sweet the sound", bc that's really easy

Sorry, how do I do that?

We have a bookshelf, but right now it's set that only you can enter books. I don't know how to change it, but if you go into the bookshelf, you might see how to allow members to add books. If you don't, let me know and I'll ask a GR friend who moderates another group I'm in.

Also you can add shelves like you do on your own page. Or maybe we can do that, I've never tried it in any of the groups I'm in.

I have a few more ideas....
Maybe just a general chat for random stuff, a question page where you can ask questions, sorta like Truth or Dare but without the dare hahaha, and maybe a discussions about Bucket Lists??

The shelves are for us to add books that we think other people in our group would like. So...faith and fantasy. We could have a shelf "faith and fantasy" one "clean fantasy" for books not marketed as Christian, one for "favorite fantasy series" one for "group reads". So like Ava, with her request for book recommendation, could go to our group bookshelves and find something she'd like. You could be a specific as you like. "magic" "magical realism" "dragons" "elves" "YA" "middle grade" Whatever people are asking for, really, pretty much like how you've got your own bookshelves set up. But not all groups do this. It's just an idea. No pressure.
