This topic is for those who have finished the book. Spoil away, but please use spoiler tags.

Cheryl | 1200 comments My book came in from interlibrary loan early, so I've already finished the book. I have to say I liked the movie alot more than the book. This was Robin Cook's first novel, and it shows. The movie's screenplay was written by Michael Crichton, by the way. He's a much better writer, in my opinion.

Maybe yes, maybe no. We don’t know if he got there in time. In the movie, it shows her regaining consciousness and he holds her hand, smiling that he got there in time to save her.

I am about 25% through this and dying of boredom. I think I’m gonna pass on this one.

Yeah, it doesn't get interesting until after the 30% mark. If you want, watch the movie. It's much better than the book and has none of the boring parts.

Alan Lewis | 0 comments Slow slog but I just finished. Never read the book but parts were feeling familiar so I am guessing I saw the film years ago. I do believe Crichton would have done a better job of handling this subject.

It is likely this will be my only Robin Cook book.

With the benefit of 70 years of living, don't tell a woman she shouldn't or can't do something.

Sarah (sarahmott) | 480 comments Ha Ha Ha Especially if it’s you teenage daughter 🙄
