This was a very thought provoking read, and I felt the very best essays were the more direct ones, and Solnit uses statistics and facts to back up the points she makes. Most of the essays explore the themes of feminism and women’s rights in the US. The collection was first published a few years before Trump became President, and it is difficult for me as a non-American to judge, but it seemed a very timely collection with everything that happened in the lead-up to the election and under the Trump Presidency. I will definitely be looking to read more by this author.
