I am! It fits well into my chronological Read a Thirkell a Month project.
Just finished a selection from a few months ago, Pudd'nhead Wilson, so sign me up for some Thirkel.
There seem to be an awful lot of Lords in a very small area.
Well that was a fun little book. Very lightweight and not as good as it's obvious influences (such as Benson's Mapp & Lucia books or Mitford's Pursuit of Love etc).One thing is that I was totally not convinced with Mrs Middleton's relationship with Denis. Why she'd go from one older man-child who wants to be mothered to a younger hypochondriac man-child who wants to be mothered would be beyond me.
Everything else in the book worked on its level though. Nothing earth shatteringly unusual, but nothing dreadful either.
