I agree with you Barbara, I watched the first few episodes and it just didn't interest me. I couldn't decide if they were trying to be that campy or if they were serious. I think Wyle was trying to channel Dr Who, but it wasn't working lol

I loved all three of those movies.

I think the show is cute. It's something I can watch with my kids.

It helps if you watched the original movies, or at least the first ones. The series is in the same vein, and I absolutely loved them.

they are getting a second season I am so happy

I'm happy about it too! I like that it's campy as hell. It reminds me of Jack of all Trades in terms of the level of camp. And JL is GREAT in that show! I hope they do more with his role/past.

I liked the movies but didn't get into the tv show.

I LOVE THE MOVIES! and yes that had to be in all caps.

The show was alright. I expected better but it was still OK but nowhere near as good as the movies.
