The followed protocol as no one thought she could get into the secure home. Who knew that Danielle had the Fieldstone's security codes. It does seem like the agents should have checked out their home as a precaution, but I gave the author a hand wave because I liked the way Lucy negotiated the rescue.
Good point Sharon: The Agents should have thoroughly searched the house before allowing them back in. They relied on the security system.
They had little reason to believe she’d be there and I understood why they didn’t check the house. Just wish they’d taken the extra precautions.
They agents should have checked the house before letting the family enter. I'd think that would be standard procedure.
I agree; maybe it's because we KNEW that she had the codes, but they were so careful with the other details. On the other hand, going to Grandma's to pick him up and so many other little things had the killer clued in that things were going sideways for her.
I'm with you, Charlene. They gave it away by picking him up at Grandma's. I though a better idea would have been for Grandma to take him somewhere and do a hand off.
