I'm liking it. Sure there are some confusing parts but there are always confusing bits in Doctor Who. I am also liking the character of Dan. At first I wasn't sure if I would like him or not.
Finally watched Ep. 2 last night and liked it a lot more than Ep. 1. Dan is developing into an interesting character and I like that Yaz is being allowed to shine in her own right.
Still trying 1] figure out who the rock crystal guy and his female friend are and 2] what their motivation is (thus confusion).
One of things I will give to Chibnal, is his willingness to bring historical characters to fore - something we haven't had in a long time. Mary Seacoe is a very interesting person in her own right and very brave to sit right near the front lines during the Crimean War.

Episode 2: Old school Sontarions...I'm a happy guy.Dan is turning into a decent companion. My wife wants him and the dog to get their own show.
Having a new companion hasn't taken away from Yaz.
Love those triangle night light drones.
If Swarm and co. are the big bads, I'm not loving them.
And what's up with the third one?
He came out of nowhere and looks like Darkseid from DC comics.
Now that I feel like of got the rhythm of this season, I'm content to go along for the ride.
Episode 3: lot going on here. Where to start...?The good:
The Ruth Doctor!
Cybermen!
Daleks!
Good action scenes, some really nice character bits and we've got info to have a better handle on what's going on.
The bad:
Our big bads are the least interesting part of this story.
Sneaking feeling that the Division are not nice people and the Doctor of that era is going to turn out to be a bit Valyard-ish and a big part of the problem.
random thoughts:
Is the passenger basically a person shaped Tardis?
How cool would a weeping angel companion be?
Not reading the thread cuz I haven’t seen the episodes. I likely won’t until it’s out on disc. Which appears to be Feb 15, 2022. I just ordered my copy. Valentine’s Day to myself will come a day late in 2022.
Episode 4: that was quite possible one of the best Weeping Angel Episodes. They were menacing, creepy and we expanded on what we know about them.
I still think a Weeping Angel companion would be amazing.
Supporting cast was solid.
Individual bits are fun, the big arc is still shaky and the big bads are only mildly interesting.
Enjoying the ride, but still doubtful Chibnall can pull off the landing.
Episode 5: Well, stuff is coming together, not sure if I approve of every choice, but I am impressed with Chibnall being able to juggle it all.Nice call backs in the UNIT history section and always good to see Kate back.
Nice to see Jodi get to speechify and having proper Sontarions as our big bads.
Now, he just has to make the landing.
Episode 6: Holy #$%!! Chibnall pulled it off!Not perfect, and there are a few loose story threads, but...wow, he got so much right.
Overall I enjoyed it. There were some parts I didn't care for but I'm not complaining (like many people do about every detail). The main bad guys (Swarm and his "sister"?) that were inviting/ controlling the Flux I didn't like but what are you going to do?I kind of wish they had explored more with the Doctor Ruth parallel. It would have been nice to know who the others with her were, one was Karvanista (the dog guy), were the other two Bel and really Vinder?
So, with old school Sontarions back, are we looking at a Klingon situation or are there two...breeds...types...clans of Sontarions stumbling through the cosmos?
I am done defending Flux.I liked it, some people didn't.
And the people going "It was okay, but if it had the full season they planned...etc"
Don't care.
Liked the finale and Both Davies and Moffett got full seasons and managed to completely F-up finales.
any gaps will be Big Finish stories in five years.

Just got my Blu-ray today. Finished episode 1. Yikes! It’s literally the apocalypse (again), or at least it appears to be. I mean, if you’re gonna start off with a bang, make it a big one. Right?

In a couple years, I’ll bet Big Finish will give Dan and the dog their own box set. 😹
Yaz has her OWN companion: Vinder. Me like him. 😼

I agree Lori, Chibnall has always been willing to take the difficult route in developing a narrative. I think it pays off in the end. It makes things more interesting along the way. And I’m reminded of how confusing something like War Games would have been when it first aired. Week by week, fans would have been going: “what the heck is going on?” But it makes it more exciting, particularly that first time through, if you can’t see where things are headed.

Finish UNIT audio dramas recently. So it’s wonderful to have Kate back on TV as well. Now, do I punch on with the last episode or wait until tomorrow morning?

Anybody else seen it?
I'll hold off on anything spoiler-ish until I hear from you guys.
