I know we have some early finishers, so speak freely here!

Jessica | 159 comments I stayed up late last night to finish because I had to know... who is Evans? I think this is my new favorite Agatha Christie. I even suspected Dr. Arbuthnot because the name was so unusual. LOL. The name Arbuthnot sounds so familiar, I wonder if another author I've read used it for one of their characters. I also recognized the name Carstairs from Dorothy Gillman's Mrs. Pollifax series.

Rosemarie | 257 comments The two villains in the book were certainly good actors and knew how to fool Bobby and Frankie. I loved finding out who
Evans was.
I enjoyed this one, especially when Badger came to the rescue.

Yes the two villains were great! (Maybe great is the wrong word there but you know what I mean) I suspected Roger toward the beginning but acquitted him pretty much immediately. Then toward the end, I started to suspect Moira before I suspected Roger. I guess I don't fall easy for the damsel in distress character. But Roger remained innocent in my mind until the end. It was quite a roller coaster.

Mary (maryschumacher) | 153 comments Another great Christie ending! As usual, I did not guess the perpetrator and really enjoyed how Christie strung me along. I really felt Dr. Nicholson was more nefarious than he turned out to be.

The only event that I felt was too simplistic was Badger crashing in just in time to save the day. I felt Christie was in a rush to wrap up the ending and didn't want to spend time thinking up something clever to get Frankie and Bobby out of their mess.

I also felt something was missing when Attorney Spragge went looking for which young duke impersonated him. Christie left us hanging, because that story line ended right there.

You're right I totally forgot about the duke! I guess it's up to us to make up our own ending for that story line. Or maybe the story line goes no where because the Attorney is too chicken to tic off a Duke. Maybe it was Christie's way of getting in a dig about how much a young Duke can get away with.

Yes, sounds right!

Deborah (deborahkliegl) | 163 comments I really enjoyed this one. I needed a bit of a break from Poriot (I know blasphemy). I didn’t figure this one out at all. Love the fact Evans was somebody they knew

Yes it was rather sad when likeable Roger turned out to be so terribly bad.

Maggie | 78 comments I just finished this, a little late (I accidentally swapped the Nov and Dec books). I thought it was quite obvious that Roger was the criminal and I was really frustrated when Frankie took him into her confidences, to the point that I almost put the book down. I came here expecting everyone else to be saying the same thing, but I'm wrong!

I liked the couple. Both of them are clever and bold in their own ways, and Frankie's ability to devise clever lies on the spot was entertaining.
