There is a lot of historical naval books in Kindle Unlimited. A favourite so far is the Dorset Boy series. By Christopher C Tubbs. It is quite good. YMMV

I'm currently re-reading Fire From Heaven, the first book in Mary Renault's Alexander Trilogy. No major naval action. But, if you haven't already read the trilogy, I'd highly recommend it.

Does anyone know of any good free historical fiction books from the Kindle Bookstore? I'm quite into non-romantic historical naval fiction at the moment, which I admit is pretty niche as a lot of the naval books seem to include some sort of love interest!!
Failing that, anything from medieval or greek/roman history would also be of interest.
I guess the key is something free so I can test out the paperwhite and hopefully improve the Amazon algorithm, so it doesn't keep giving me cooker books.
Thanks in advance.
