Debbie (dashforcover) | 1226 comments I know the city has streaming movies available through Overdrive. But I don't know about the County. I didn't care for them because you can't download them to any source for watching on a television so you are relegated to watching on your computer.

I don't know about the county but I would expect similar limitations.

We do have digital videos! If you check out our Digital Library page (https://www.slcolibrary.org/what-we-h...), our digital videos are in OverDrive. When you log into OverDrive, the videos are under the "Screening Room" tab.

The streaming videos will move to OverDrive's Libby app in a few months but they are currently still available through the OverDrive app or online at https://slco.overdrive.com/. You can access these with your library card number and pin.

Jess Myname | 44 comments Debbie, I figured I would have to watch them on a computer or something similar. I’m hoping to find some movies I have been unable to find anywhere else. I don’t mind what I watch them on if I can find them it will just be fun to watch them again. But I’m with you as a general rule I prefer my OLD!!! T.V. With the tube going out so you have to smack it to get the picture to come into view 😆

Plus, in Libby, if you click on "extras" you can check out "Qello" for music concerts and music documentaries

In the Libby app, on my android phone, if I have the second icon on the bottom selected, the one that looks like a building, and then just scroll down, it starts with New Book Arrivals, then Guides, then Extras.

Sorry for the late reply. I was on vacation.

The library now has Hoopla for movies, television and music! You can check out 10 items a month. With Movies and Television you can check out items for 3 days, and with Music there is a 7 day check out period. We also have access to Binge Passes, where you check out an entire streaming service, like Curiosity Stream or The Great Courses Video Library Collection for one week.
