Jenni Frencham (jennifrencham) Did you have any books you just didn't enjoy? Which books were your least favorite or the hardest to finish?

Ariel Birdoff (madam_pince) So far, my least favorite book has been Ida M. Tarbell. I found it slow, not wonderfully written, and quite difficult to get into.

Emily Childress-Campbell (ms_librarian_) So far, The Scar Boys. I found it kind of predictable and didn't care about the characters the way I thought I would.

Bethany Miller (nwhslmic) | 5 comments Totally agree about Scar Boys. It wasn't bad, but it didn't stand out like the other Morris finalists.

So far, I'm going to agree with Ida M. Tarbell. Also, I didn't like the actual story of Skink: No Surrender, but I did like the narration.

Jenni Frencham (jennifrencham) I have to agree with you, Amy. As much as I love that there are now finally a few middle grade books featuring LGBT+ characters, I didn't like the stereotypes and I really didn't like the Disney/Glee-esque "main character has all the good things happen to him all the time and is totally lucky" thing. I'm all for happy endings, but I like at least slightly realistic happy endings. :)
