Addilyn, you already nominated one. It’s one nomination per person.

JT, that’s just a one page poem. Are you sure that could hold us for more than a few days? I know it’s on the list and we’ll go with it if you really want but it seems we can read something of greater length. Up to you.

Well, I'm too late but maybe this can make it on a list for next year: Truman Capote's Christmas Memory.

OK, no more nominations will be accepted. So here's our nominated books:
(1) Mystery of the Magi: The Quest to Identify the Three Wise Men by Fr. Dwight Longenecker
(2) The Sermons of St. Francis de Sales: For Advent and Christmas by St. Francis de Sales.
(3) The Night Before Christmas by Nicolai Gogol
(4) My Little King: George Macdonald's Christmas Stories and Songs by George Macdonald.
(5) Journey of the Magi by T.S. Eliott.
(6) A Christmas Memory by Truman Capote.
We did this faster than I expected. I'll put up the poll tomorrow.

Greater length is fine with me. I've read and loved the Elliott, but will probably vote for one of the other options, myself.

I just had a thought. Here’s what we can do. We’ll couple the Longenecker Magi book with the poem. We’ll make it a tandem. The poem can be a fine capstone after we read the history and theology of those mysterious kings. I will group the book and poem together in the poll.

Doubly brilliant because, after reading the description of the Langenecker, I had decided to vote for it!
