Can I make my own thread topic thingy?

Do the teachers have to have abilities? Because we can only have six, so we'd only be able to make six characters with abilities. And I have two teachers claimed and I want to make a least a hand full of students/others.
Or could they have really really basic abilites. Such as weak shield protection or slightly stronger skin or something like that?

The teachers do have to have abilities, and you do have to claim them - I might change six to ten, though. I'm just thinking about it. Right now there's basically a six-character limit.

OH okie dokie. I think for now I'll do the two teachers and then four students (one female, one male, and two other) so that it evens it out.

Howdy! I'm super new here and I was wondering if powers can be similar? I have a power idea in mind and it works very uniquely and has different quirks but I am not sure if powers have to be totally different.

Do we have to wait for the ability we claimed to be approved before creating the character?

They can be similar, but they can't be the exact same or extremely close.

Yes - I'm not the only one who can approve abilities, but I'm the one who usually does it, so I apologize for all my inactivity.

Are there aloud to be duplicate of abbilities? Such as say someone didnt know there was already an ability or they gave a similar one?

For the ability, do we come up with our own?

Well, I'd hope you would look at the list before making your ability. If someone were to ask for an ability that is the same as or too similar to one on the list, then they'll be asked to change it. There aren't going to be any duplicates.

1. The Force of Echoes is a shadowy underground organization working to control the world by any means - including kidnapping young superhumans and training them to be assassins. They're less like ninjas and more like what first comes to mind when you think of spies (the whole high-tech martial arts and espionage and guns thing).
2. Yep! You make up your own ability, give it a name and a burnout. I figured not having a set list would allow for more creative freedom.
3. Nope. Your characters can be whatever gender you like!
4. The age range for the academy students is 11-18, and teacher characters only need to be above 21.

Does anyone have any ability ideas for me?

Do you incorporate a time thing where you move time forward after a year or two OR is it a set time, meaning no character ages but stays the same age?

Also, do we have to make a personal folder? Or could we just post our characters under the thread to be accepted?

So what if I wanted to make my character 20, what would it be? A person who walked the grounds?

1. It's more of a set time - we might have a time jump at some point in the very far future if the group stays active and the plot gets up and running, but for now, everybody stays the age they are.
2. You don't have to make a personal folder, those are just for members who want them.
3. You just kinda can't, as of right now. There are students and teachers, although at some point we'll open up a creation topic for Force of Echoes members for plot reasons, so those dudes can be any age over 11.

So can we hit at a character being a member of the Force?

As of right now, the Force of Echoes agent thing is closed, but a student could be hinted at being an undercover agent, yes.

I just want to double check something so -
Would it be possible for a student to have grown up on the island with their parents? Like, their parents (both w/ powers) had a kid and they stayed on the island with that kid (who has powers) I think the info topic says that sometimes ppl stay on the island in the village, but I wanted to make sure-

my character Mia Hutton was born and raised on the island so.... I think it's okay

okay sorry, I have three questions!
1.) so for the force of echoes characters--since I wanna start on some of the ones I claimed: do they have superhuman powers as well? or would that only be some of them? I see that they catch both superhuman and non superhumans, so...
2.) and how many of the force of echoes characters/ranking members would have been kidnapped into it and how many joined because they believe in the cause?
3.) is it possible one of my existing students could actually be moved to the Force of Echoes as like...a spy to work on taking the Force down? Is that possible?

1) While most of them do have powers, there are some who don't! Those who are powerless generally get less respect than everyone else and have to work harder to move up in the ranks.
2) It's about 95% kidnapped and 5% joining - the Force is largely unknown to the world, but when someone seems promising and is too old to be taken, they may present themselves to try and sway this person to their side. Even then, most of the non-kidnapped members work in science and such, so the percentage of Force soldiers that willingly joined is even smaller, but not nonexistent.
3) Yes! We're going to have an event soon, if you're willing to wait just a bit.

okay! So I may re submit just cause that may change her history but we’ll see, plus she may be one of the ranks I claimed just…never fell for their rhetoric after kidnapped and tricked them the whole time into thinking they broke her idk. But yeah we’ll see I guess I just told you anyway lol
