Thoughts on the Wheel of Time series on Amazon or the books or a comparison.

I haven't read the books so I can't compare it to the source material. They are on my list but I just have too big of a back log at this point.

I enjoyed the Amazon series, but it was very predictable (this could be because I've read a lot of fantasy over the years) and some of the acting was weak, but I'm willing to give season 2 a try before I stop watching. Any idea when season 2 is coming?
