I would have thought there would have been some internal review process as soon two witnesses were linked. It would seem that there had been an internal breach which should have been followed up at least in house.
I understand the need to protect witnesses, however, I did think the UKPPS was very slow to get on board. If they were more open, I believe Kim and team would have found the killer quicker.
Yes, they should have come forward sooner. They didn't have to give the new names or locations of their clients. But Kim and her team wasted a day trying to track down information about the Phipps and tracking the moving company truck.
It seems like an organization that takes such care in protecting its witnesses would immediately be concerned about any kind of breech in protocol.
This really bothered me because they must have known Amelia’s computer had been compromised. They were extremely slow in reacting. People died because of it.
I felt there was more going on behind the scenes as we only get Kim's POV here. Superintendent Wexford did come to Woody and give Kim the details he knew quite quickly.
Regarding Amelia's computer being compromised, I did not get the impression that she notified her bosses, only that she decided to leave. I think if Wexford had known, he would have told Kim - he had already let the cat out of the bag, so why would he withhold that information?
