I remember my first 8-track tape of George Carlin's 8 words you can't say on television.

I believe I have seen an 8 track tape before, never listened to one. How was the sound like on one Kara?

The sound on a 8-track was only as good as the speakers in your car or hooked up to the player in your house. If you compared it to a record, you had better definition of sounds from records.

Sounds like I was lucky to grow up during the times of the record and the cassette tape.

Records, cassette tapes, and on to cd's all of which have been much easier to use and listen to than 8-tracks. The worst thing was when the tape would get stuck in the player because there was no way to open it up.

I remember when gas was less than a dollar for a gallon.
I also remember being paid 50 cents a hour for babysitting.

I definitely don't remember gas being that cheap, but I do remember when you could fill your tank with $20 dollars. And get a gallon of milk for less than 2 dollars.
