Thanks, Staci. I've often found over the years that my personal taste differs from most awards judges and critics, whether it be for books or films. What I've decided is that not every book is for every reader. :) I am happy that these books are loved by other readers, though, because every book also does have its readers. :)

message 23: by Georgann (new)

Georgann Thanks for this list info! I found several to add to my TBR list!

So agree Andrea! And sometimes there are book moods that are a factor. I've had books that I started reading and stopped reading for lack of interest and later tried again and enjoyed.

Happy to see that Jennifer Deibel's novel A Dance in Donegal by Jennifer Deibel got a very well-deserved win!

message 32: by Karin (new)

Karin | 74 comments I just saw this. I am very happy Susie Finkbeiner one--I really liked her series set in the Depression and am planning on reading a book by her in February for a reading game, but it had to be a book I already had on my want to read shelf before Jan 1, 2022 so it won't be this one.

message 33: by Christine (new)

Christine Indorf | 392 comments The Nature of Small Birds by Susie Finkbeiner

finally read the Nature of Small Birds. I really liked it. There are no fireworks or thrills in this book but if you want a book that is a blessing I would highly recommend!!
