- wraithis (view spoiler)[ user can become incorporeal at times — fading in and out of reality, so to speak. they are able to change between immaterial (able to pass rough solid objects but still visible) and unseeable (able to become invisible but still touchable), though never both at once. overuse results in dizziness/light-headed(ness?), then quickly escalates to hallucinations and blacking out. - animation (view spoiler)[ user has the ability to give some semblance of life to inanimate objects. overuse has quite a few different and random results — the most common being fatigue and forgetfulness. (hide spoiler)]
- cryokinesis (view spoiler)[ user has the ability to pull water from the air into the form of ice/snow and use at their disposal. overuse affects them the same way sitting outside in a snowstorm would — slowly they get colder and colder until the extreme of frostbite. (hide spoiler)]
- rubber banding (view spoiler)[ user can manipulate rubber bands into any solid object (no liquid or gas). they shape and form the material, and then may make the rubber stone-hard in the pattern of whatever object they created. overuse results in an odd variety of side-effects, including (but not limited to) hallucinations, talking backwards, sticking to anything metal, fear of pencils, overuse of the word “like,” etc. (view spoiler)[ (hide spoiler)] (hide spoiler)]

Pfft, no I didn’t run into the wall — it ran into me.

「April lives her life with the sole motive of having fun. She’s outgoing, she’s competitive, she’s even a bit mischievous, but it’s all done in the name of fun. April is very extroverted, often talking to any random person she happens to meet in the halls. But be warned, this girl can talk a mile a minute, and once she gets started there’s no stopping it. She is quite possibly the friendliest person you’ll ever meet. Ok, maybe not but you get the idea. April literally cannot hold a grudge whatsoever. Three minutes and it’s forgotten. Blame it on her forgive-and-forget nature or short-term memory-loss; most likely it’s the latter but take your pick. April…doesn’t show sadness. Not anymore. She will be happy, sometimes she’ll be mad, she can be tired or monotone, but she can’t— won’t be sad. It’s just not in her nature. Honestly, April is in this weird limbo of being pretty quiet around adults and freakin’ loud around kids. Most of the teachers think she’s an angel — the students know otherwise. Unbeknownst to the adults of the school, April is kiiinda the cause of most incidents. They look at her and see a good, quiet, albeit a little goofy, adorable kid who couldn’t possibly have any part of the mess, right? Hehe, they’d be surprised… April is always wanting to know how things work and why they do what they do. She’s forever taking things apart and putting them back together. Give her a pen and it’ll be in pieces in a second flat. It’s just sorta her thing. She is definitely an inquisitive little kid, probably a little too curious for her own good. I mean, who would even wonder where the air vents go, much less actually investigate it? She’s adventurous, that’s for sure; a complete daredevil and always gets into trouble because of it. Oh well. April is also ridiculously competitive, which might be a problem. Whether it’s a staring contest or a race down the halls, this girl hates to lose. Unfortunately (and somewhat hilariously), she’s got competitive friends. Watching them battle it out is actually pretty entertaining, tbh…」
(Oh and just a side note, April is NOT a morning person. She will literally attack anyone who is loud before seven, tries to wake her up before eight, or is too peppy before nine. *cough* Evie *cough*)

OHHH YOU ARE SO ASKING FOR A FOOD FIGHT—

「April has been an orphan as long as she can remember. Growing up in The Home for Children Without Families (just called The Home for short) was pretty much her whole life. Life there wasn’t too bad, really, just…depressing. It’s hard to be happy in a place like that, but somehow they managed. Well, sort of. The April you see now wasn’t the April of back then. Serious, hardened, rarely smiling, and with haunted eyes that looked as if they had seen too much… They had. Thankfully, that’s not the April we see today. Something happened back then, and even I’m not sure what. As she discovered her gift, April found life a little less dim. Before, she had done everything in her power to avoid the other kids, being as unsocial and introverted as physically possible. Now, every now and then she’d try to talk to someone. Once, April even participated in a “magic show” and excited everyone with a dancing pair of shoes. Evidently her secret midnight practice was paying off, but unfortunately, she wasn’t quite careful enough with her animation abilities. Labeled as a freak, April escaped the place she’d always known and tried living on the streets, but, uh… let’s just say it didn’t work out too well. Tired, hungry, and ashamed, she was having thoughts about going back to The Home when she found a letter in her backpack. To this day she’s still not sure how it got there — she was wearing her backpack the whole time. How could someone have put it in without her noticing? Well, however it got there, the letter gave April exactly what she had always dreamed of: A place she could belong . I think it’s safe to say April has found a home at the academy and now she never wants to leave.」

- a veteran user would be able to animate objects much, much bigger than themselves (but april is not a veteran, by any means)
- could potentially command objects to do their bidding — a very useful tool for the lazy
「ABILITY WEAKNESSES」
- it would only take the animation of, say, a desk chair perhaps, for april to reach her limit
- the objects to seem to have a mind of their own and often don’t obey her very well — it takes a commanding personality to gain their respect
- the animation runs out, time depending on the size of the object and the skill of the user; usually thirty minutes to around an hour or so in this case

calypso is the queen of sass. period. aaaaand… that’s pretty much it. but because this thing has to be longer than a single sentence, i’ll try to dig around a little and explain this mess in more detail. be patient.
as i just said, calypso thrives on sass and excels in sarcasm. she can be harsh, bold, but all still with a joking demeanor. it’s complicated.
it was probably something from back when. something in her past that has formed her this way. i’m not even sure — she keeps her secrets well. the name calypso means “she who conceals” or “she who hides.” either her parents saw the future and named her quite exactly, or else she has chosen a new name for herself. don’t ask me, i don’t know. but however she was gifted that name, it suits her perfectly. like, creepy perfectly. she conceals and hides much of her past and present. works great with her ability, too. wraithis befits a wraith.
as for personality, this girl is as friendly a cold-hearted viper. which, if you haven’t caught on yet, is not very nice. she has zero tolerance for wimps and crybabies. this is the real world. crying won’t solve anything. but all this isn’t to say she’s mean, so to speak. just firm and demanding, distant, emotionless and without compassion. at this point, calypso just doesn’t care anymore.
she’s tough on everybody; students, fellow teachers, even sometimes the headmaster. (calypso avoids leto for the most part, though.) it doesn’t take much to push her over the edge — incompetence being high on the list. she will not yell. she doesn’t reprimand, or even speak. when calypso is angry or ticked-off, she is silent, staring at the person-in-question with a storm dancing in her eyes. believe me, it’s pretty scary…
but overall, calypso is just a sassy snake of a teacher who doesn’t take crap from anybody. charming, right?」
