Thanks for this awesome suggestion, Clara!

Wow, that's a great question. I think there are quite a few. I mean, the obvious ones like Beethoven and Bach, but then there's Vivaldi and Rachmaninov, and I just can't decide!

Let's hear some debating, everyone, and I'll just be watching from the sidelines forming my own opinion...

Book - Dragon I love listening to Beethoven's Moonlight Sonota. I think my fave composer is Beethoven. He started going deaf and still composed music!!!!! I love his Ode to Joy also, and his 8th symphony? Which goes dun, dun, dun, DUN, dun, dun, dun, DUN!?

a v a (httpswwwpinterestcomdoubleaa373) | 3 comments Beethoven, hands down. Fur Elise, a favorite. He had a VERY hard life and it payed off in the end. So yeah, I got nothing else for ya.

Also I know this doesn't count but The Piano Guys are my ALL TIME FAVORITE classical musicians.

Book - Dragon The piano guys are awesome!!! And yes Fur Elise!!! My sister knows how to play it by ear.

Fortissimo (kendra_simps) Oh, definitely Rachmaninov, in my opinion. Bach isn't pleasant to me, but he was a total genius. I also enjoy Mozart and Chopin.

Fortissimo (kendra_simps) And Liszt too!

Emily(Marauders version)🎧⭐️ Rachmaninoff was an amazing composer… but I love liszt as well!!! I absolutely LOVEEEE classics music xD

No I've never heard of him, but that sounds super cool. I'll have to check it out!

Book - Dragon I've heard that Mozart's sister Nanneral was actually better then he was.

I'm learning the first movement of the Moonlight Sonata right now! It is so beautiful!

And Fur Elise is too!

message 13: by Alison (new)

Alison Hmm, I like Tchaikovsky, mostly because his music is quite dramatic. But Beethoven's also really cool, and I like Vivaldi's The Four Seasons.

Anika (on hiatus) | 95 comments I love Sibelius, Mendelssohn, Dvorak, Rachmaninov, and female composers like Hildegard von Bingen and Lili Boulanger don’t get enough representation! I appreciate composers like Bach and Handel, but early Classical/Baroque isn’t usually my thing. I prefer more Romantic era pieces, and some more modern composers like Britten and Ravel (only certain pieces of his tho).

Alison Yes, I'm definitely more into Romantic era compositions. And I definitely agree—female composers don't get enough representation. There are some amazing ones who have composed beautiful works, but I've really never heard of them.
