There is something about an ice cave maybe, and the love triangle is between a really sweet well put together man, and a rugged dark rebellious man. Something about a stone that she tries to use to save her father but turns out she loves the rugged man more and it saves his life. The first book cover is her standing on a boat I believe. It kills me I can't remember it. I read it in like middle school, so sometime between 2005 and 2013. The title might have included something with the word ever, but I am not sure about that

Maybe Everlasting by Angie Frazier? The second book is called The Eternal Sea. The reviews mention a cave, her father, a fiance and another guy, a ship and a mythical stone.
