This recipe is a homemade almond, cranberry, sunflower seed granola. The treat is mentioned on pages 188 and 189 of the paperback copy in English.
This recipe was found on "Carrie's Vegan Treats". All credit of this recipe goes to her! :)
Homemade Granola:
This recipe is entirely adaptable! Mix and match different flavor profiles, nuts, seeds and dried fruit.
Time: 1 hour 30 minutes Makes: 4-5 cups
Granola Ingredients:
3 cups oats
1-2 teaspoons seasoning such as cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/3 brown sugar
1/3 cup syrup
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup seeds, I used sunflower
1/2 cup dried fruit, I used cranberries
1/2 cup nuts, I used chopped almonds
Instructions
1. Mix the wet ingredients in a small bowl. Add the brown sugar and mix thoroughly. Pre-heat the oven to 250 degrees.
2. Add the oats, spices, and other dry ingredients to a large bowl.
3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry. Mix until combined.
4. Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Evenly distribute the mixture on the tray.
5. Bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes, stirring the mixture every 20 minutes.
6. Allow to cool completely before storing in a container.
7. Enjoy!
