This is where you can view how many points your house has! Whether you're checking in for Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, RavenClaw, or Slytherin, they're all here. Every House has it's own Hour-Glass like holder which contains gem stones. RavenClaw has sapphires, Gryffindor has rubies, Slytherin has emeralds, and Hufflepuff has yellow diamonds. The more gems that are in each cup, the closer you will get to achieving the House Cup at the end of the year!
You can gain House Points from doing good deeds. One of them is answering a question correctly in Classes. That will often reward you 10 House Points. However, you can also lose House Points. If you break a rule, or do something bad in general, you can easily lose House Points. (view spoiler)[Unless you're not in Slytherin, I recommend being extra careful around Severus Snape. He would gladly take away 50 points from your House Cup for the littlest thing. (hide spoiler)]
