Menelaus walked into her new room, quite excited to be working at the popular school. Pebble sat on her shoulder, chattering on about how she wanted the room to be set up. “So, I think we should make learning Pantalan optional.” Pebble stated. “Well,” Menelaus started talking, “I think it’s very important. It’s an amazing part of history, and might help them a little in Web’s class.”
“Hmm.. true.” Pebble answered. Menelaus began to unpack her supplies, wondering if the students would come to her class or if they’d ignore it. She had been trying for a while to become a teacher. Most other schools than Jade Mountain Academy cast her out since she was a RainWing. True, RainWings were getting proper education now but they didn’t exactly take that for an answer when she told the other schools.
“Menelaus?” Pebble interrupted her thoughts, “you’ve erm.. ripped a scroll.”
“Oh lord.. let me patch this up..” Menelaus tried her best to fix the scroll, and continued unpacking.
Menelaus looked up as Sugar (sorry I accidentally wrote Pebble before) gently tapped one of her talons. Students! “Hello, hello!” She welcomed her new pupils.
One SeaWing who was a very dark blue was making a paper dragon. He wasn’t paying attention at all.
“Excuse me!” Sugar screamed across the room at the SeaWing, “this isn’t art class! Or whatever you’re doing!”
Menelaus frowned at the SeaWing but then smiled at her class, “welcome! I’m your language teacher, Ms. Menelaus! Since this is all of your first language class, I’ll help you all with your name in different languages! We won’t be learning much aquatic, since SeaWings can only speak it but I’ll try my best to help you understand it!”
A SandWings dragonet raised his talons.
“What’s up with the scavenger?” Addax asked bluntly.
“Oh!” Menelaus was slightly surprised but kept a calm voice, “that’s Sugar! She speaks all the languages and will be helping with the scavenger language! She’s kind of like the second teacher!”
“Oh, dear!” Menelaus exclaimed, “I suppose we’ll have to choose one of you.” Menelaus and Sugar scanned the room, and their eyes stopped on the blue dragon who wasn’t paying too much attention, “how about.. you! What’s your name?” Sugar asked the SeaWing she was holding a slight grudge at.
“Deep. Son of Tuna and Seaside, two Royal guards at the SeaWing palace,” said the deep blue dragon.
(Sorry I didn’t answer sooner I had to go to school~) “Yes.. okay!” Menelaus then made a few strange squeaking noises.
Deep titled his head. “How do I pernounce that?”
Sugar grumbled something mean in scavenger and Menelaus have her a be-nice-to-the-students face. “Oh, we’ll work on pronouncements later, but now, can you remember what it sounds like?” Menelaus asked cheerfully.
“How do you pronounce Addax?” Asked Addax from the back.
“Ooh! Can I tell them?” Sugar chirped enthusiastically. “I suppose!” Menelaus smiled at Sugar. Sugar then made more weird squeaking sounds.
((This is just a whole class. I’m not doing winglets XD…to hard))
Ravensong slowly raised his hand, nervous for this was his first day of school.“Yes?” Ms. Menelaus said.
“I- uh.. already know my name in scavenger..” Ravensong stammered. He had looked through Menelaus’s mind, which he wasn’t sure if he should have been doing that, and found his name. He found that she had a list of all her students names but just didn’t know who was who.
“That’s wonderful! Can you share it with us?” Menelaus asked. Ravensong made a few squeaks and smiled proudly.
Some dragons looked at him kindly, or interested, but some whispered and rolled their eyes.
Deep looked at him through the corner of his eye.
Menelaus finished with telling everyone their name in scavenger and dismissed them. (Unless you want to do more RPing with telling them their names)
Menelaus smiled as the students left. Sugar was NOT smiling. “They aren’t as smart as I thought they’d be.” Sugar grumbled once everyone had left except for her and Menelaus.
“Sugar, you have to remember not everyone is a big smart girl like you!” Menelaus snickered playfully, “But seriously, you have to remember they haven’t learned this yet.”
