Author: Talia Hibbert
Would you recommend this book?: Unfortunately no. Arguably this could be a light, quick rom-com to get your blood pulsing whilst learning about some of the struggles of chronic pain and fibromyalgia. However, it reads more as an obvious romance between two classic character tropes: the chivalrous knight and the needy damsel. As a modern romance it feels like no time has passed or progress been made in gender roles. If looking for a light rom-com worthy of your time I would move on and put this one back on the shelf.

Would you recommend this book? Yes. It's a fun, quick read romance. I've read better...but, I have also read worse. 3 stars.

Would you recommend this book? Yes! I gave it 3.5 stars (rounded down to 3), because I really enjoyed the read. I connected with the characters, which is often hard for me in romance fiction.

Kaia | 235 comments Title: If the Boot Fits
Author: Rebekah Weatherspoon
Would you recommend this book? Yes. I think a lot of people would enjoy it, even though it wasn't really for me.

Author: Courtney Milan
Would you recommend this book? Yes, I enjoyed it a lot. I gave it 4 stars. I loved both the hero and the heroine. The romance is sweet and awkward, and the plot revolves around a recipe for a very delicious-sounding sauce, so as a bonus, it made me hungry. :D

Would you recommend this book?
Yes! I really enjoyed the writing and giggled out loud multiple times (which is pretty rare for me). I would suggest to read this book rather than listen to the audiobook only because the narrator has a much older, mature voice that made the steamy sections of the book a little cringeworthy.

Hahaha, that can definitely change the way you experience it.

Author: Jesse Q Sutanto
Would you recommend this book? Yes it is a cute light read. A little over the top at times but I thought the dynamic with her aunts was really entertaining. It's a solid 3 starts..good not great

Would you recommend this book? Yeah, I'd recommend this book to people who like to read romance novels. Romance is not a genre that I typically read, but I do enjoy some rom-com books. The cover picture had me thinking that this would be a rom-com, but it's most definitely a straight up romance novel. I wasn't expecting that lol. But it was well written, cute and the characters were personable and witty. Overall, I gave it 3 stars.

Would you recommend this book?
Maybe. This book did not work for me because the dialogue was good but the inner mcs thoughts were obnoxious to me. The sisters and other family member characters were entertaining so I might read the sequels but not right now.

Recommend: Yes! I gave it four stars and really enjoyed the snarky writing and the tension created between the two main characters.

Jacqie I read "You Made a Fool of Death with your Beauty" by Akwaeke Emezi and highly recommend it! An updated take on "When Stella Got her Groove Back", only better.

Would you recommend this book? No. I didn't care about the couple as the book went on, and there was constant lack of communication

Title: Get a Life, Chloe Brown
Author: Talia Hibbert
Would you recommend this book? Yes, to people who enjoy this genre. I had some issues with it, but overall it was interesting. And I'm really glad that March's group read isn't a romance.

Lilith (lilithp) | 1084 comments Title: A Fake Girlfriend for Chinese New Year
Author: Jackie Lau
Would you recommend this book? Yes. Light rom-com, fun palate cleanser between heavy reads. Lots of sexy times, plus lots of family, food, and Canadian winter fun too.

Would you recommend this book? Yes. It was a fun romance and many scenes, especially the email exchange in chapter eight, had me laughing out loud. In public.
