Alissa Patrick (apatrick12211) | 1887 comments What a great idea! Do you have a list of books you may want to read by these authors or are you just going to pick an author and choose then?

In some cases I have an idea. But others -- I probably have 25 books by Anthony Trollope I haven't read yet, and since they're standalones it doesn't matter where I start. (How much you wanna bet that the one I end up with has a title that starts with a vowel and isn't 700 pages long? LOLOL!)

Ioana | 2208 comments This is actually a great idea. Are these new authors to you, or ones you've read before or a mix? Good luck, I can't wait to see what you'll read.

Excellent list of authors.

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 800 comments Good idea, think I've only read Agatha Christie

Lea (leaspot) | 3807 comments I love this idea for a challenge too. I need to do it, I seem to accumulate books by authors. For sure, I have Agatha Christie, James Agee, Alexandre Dumas, Elizabeth Von Arnim, Jane Haddam, and Stephen Ambrose on my shelves. Probably some others, but we're not going to go there. I have to read to get to them. :-)

This is a mix. Galsworthy is probably my favorite author of all time, for example. But I've never read George Baxt (and a couple of the others), although his mystery titles are so fetching I went out and bought them all. I hope I like them! Most of the others I like but seldom get around to, particularly since so many challenges focus (or seem to) on newer books and a bunch of these are vintage authors. Plus the second piece here is to urge me to read physical books so I can get them out of the house -- I mostly read e- and audible and these lie around for years untouched.

I made some progress on this this year, but not enough.... I'll try again next year. :)

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 800 comments As long as you've had a fun reading year :)

Exactly. As long as you read something, and you enjoyed reading; it's a win!
