Title: Lucky Broken Girl
Author: Ruth Behar
Would you recommend this book? Yes. This was a Little Free Library find I had never heard of and one I enjoyed.

Jen W. (piratenami) | 523 comments I finished this prompt earlier in the year also.

Title: Chilling Effect
Author: Valerie Valdes
Would you recommend this book? I think mainly sci-fi readers would enjoy this. I thought it was fun and funny, but it dragged a little in the middle.

Sherri Harris | 782 comments Title: Olga Dies Dreaming
Author: Xóchitl González
Would you recommend this book? Yes. The book is one of my favorites of the year.

Lilith (lilithp) | 1086 comments Title: Martita, I Remember You/Martita, te recuerdo
Author: Sandra Cisneros
Would you recommend this book? Maybe to a person fluent in Spanish. I preferred the Spanish to the English version. It was OK. I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it either.

Mexican Whiteboy by Matt de la Peña
Bleh, no I would not recommend. A whole lot of nothing happens during most of the book. When something explosive finally does happen (view spoiler) nothing ever comes of it.

message 7: by Trish (new)

Trish (trishhartuk) | 265 comments It's still outstanding for me. I'm planning on something by Silvia Moreno-Garcia

message 8: by Teri (new)

Teri (teria) | 1554 comments Title: History Is All You Left Me

Author: Adam Silvera

Would you recommend this book? It was my least favorite of this author's books that I have read, so probably not.

message 9: by Megan (new)

Megan | 488 comments Title: The Apology Project
Author: Jeanette Escudero
Would you recommend this book? If you are looking for a little bit of escapism, I found this to be a fast read that has a smidge of romance and some funny moments. Some of the plot points were tied up a little conveniently, but I didn't mind since I was in the mood for something with a happy ending when I picked this one up.

message 10: by Britany (new)

Britany | 1719 comments Title: The Japanese Lover
Author: Isabel Allende
Would you recommend this book? I'm straight down the middle on this, I think it's good, not great and there are probably other books that do this timeframe much better.

Erica | 1269 comments Title: The Poet X
Author: Elizabeth Acevedo
Recommend? Yes. I have read everything else by this author since reading this earlier in the year. This is my favourite of the author's works but her other books are still really good. This and the author's other works are in free verse fyi.

Author: Aiden Thomas

Would you recommend this book? It was the Monthly Group Read selection for September 2022 and a pretty good read.

Cemetery Boys (Cemetery Boys #1) by Aiden Thomas
