Melindam | 160 comments Of course, there are quite a lot of these books I feel I should really give a try, but for some mysterious reasons (te time's just not right or I'm not in the mood, etc...) I have not gotten around reading even though they are/would be available.

One of these author is Ursula K. Le Guin. I have heard much about her, and I know I should really read something by her, but... but ... but...

Anyway, if you are familiar with her and her books, I would gladly receive some recommendations.

Orinoco Womble (tidy bag and all) | 76 comments The only one of hers I've ever read was Always Coming Home and that was because someone left a copy here when they went back to the US. It reminds me of The Silmarillion in a way, kind of anthropological. Not something you can sit down and read straight through justlikethat. At least I can't.
I remember seeing Le Guin's books in the high school library but they just didn't call out to me.

Orinoco Womble (tidy bag and all) | 76 comments There are so many authors I feel I would probably get a lot out of, and some of them I actually have, but I never quite get round to. Lots of classics available free from Gutenberg like Hesiod and co. and many others.

Gogol | 113 comments There are two versions of this exact same page/topic on my feed, is it the same on yours? On one page two other people have commented and here, it’s only us.

Melindam | 160 comments Oh, thanks Gogol for the heads up. Must be some GR glitch.

Orinoco Womble (tidy bag and all) | 76 comments Ok, I thought I'd lost my mind. I had to hangdog over through "My Comments" to prove to myself I hadn't dreamed of this thread. GR has been weird the past couple of days.
