I've just finished Gone Girl for this square. Its been stuck on my to read shelf for ages. I'm really happy I got round to reading this as I thoroughly enjoyed it. I enjoyed experiencing the story through the two perspectives and found the various twists and turns kept the pages turning. Not quite a 5* for me (I feel it could have been trimmed down a bit), but as good if not better than most 4* star books I've read -
a solid 4.5*!
Trial and Error - Anthony Berkeley - 4It took well into part 3 before I was fully drawn in to the point that I couldn't put it down but I still enjoyed the entire book. The aged writing style was a little hard for me to get through quickly and the multiple spelling errors near the end slowed me down a little more. Still worth reading and I'm glad the mystery was solved.
I read Memories of midnight by Sidney Sheldon. I would rate it 3/5. It didn’t meet my expectations. The first book ‘The other side of midnight’ was amazing. So I assumed this book would also be that interesting…
Read: 12 of Never by James Patterson
Finished: January 26, 2022
Length: 7 Hours 6 Minutes
Rating: 4 Stars
Comments: The mysteries in this book were captivating but what Boxer and Joe go through was truly terrifying. I don't have much to say other than that. Fish was creepy and the missing body was astounding but yeah Julie stole the show from the time she first showed up.
