Karen (readerkaren) | 145 comments I am so bad at challenges, but I really like the idea. Last year, I decided not to participate in the Motley challenge even though I loved the suggestions. Instead, I tried to finish the challenges that I haven't completed from 2017, 2018 and 2019. I will try that again. Who knows, maybe I will finish a challenge or two in 2022.

Reading Group Challenge 2019
1. The Book of Essie by Meghan MacLean Weir, finished 9/22/22, 4 stars
2.
3.
4.
5.

RWTFYW Challenge 2019
1. The Color Purple by Alice Walker, 7/9/22, 5*s
2.
3.

5.
6.
7.

Summer Reading Challenge 2018
1. Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie, 6/4/22, 3*s
2.

Motley Reading Challenge 2019
1. A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess, 3/20/22, 5*s
2.
3.

Motley Reading Challenge 2020

Good luck, Karen. I look forward to seeing what books you complete.

Lea (leaspot) | 3711 comments Good luck and have fun. I actually went back to my 2020 challenge when I completed the last book this year. It felt like I left something straggling. :-)

Karen (readerkaren) | 145 comments Thanks, everyone. I always admire the people who can commit to a challenge and finish in tbe same year. I get distracted by other books, I guess.

That's it, that is the statement of the year. I completely feel you on that one. I can actually finish the 12+4; because technically it is only 12 books, but the individual challenge beats me up every year.

Good luck and I hope you enjoy whatever you read. :)

Karen, you can copy/paste this and put it under your first comment; so it doesn't get lost among the chatter.

Karen (readerkaren) | 145 comments I finished another book in this challenge. I had forgotten this book, The Book of Essie, was a challenge book. (Laughing to myself - LOM). In reality, it was a book I was supposed to read for a 2019 challenge. I am happy that I finished the book, but a little sad that I haven't made much progress with the overall challenge this year. I think I overestimated my ability to read books that I have been putting off reading. Next year, I will try to narrow my focus.
