Adiga's White Tiger is about a low level crime boss in India. Choo has come out with The Night Tiger, which is what I am planning to read.

Thanks. I surprisingly discovered 'The Paper Menagerie & Other Stories' before I even saw your post. It does sound interesting.
I need help with "A book with a quote from your favorite author on the cover or Amazon page"My favorite author is Terry Pratchett, and I cannot find any books with a quote from him on the cover. :-(
Ketutar, I've been trying to find a Terry Pratchett quote and haven't found one yet. Most quotes come from magazines and authors so I'm finding this one a tricky prompt
Ketutar wrote: "I need help with "A book with a quote from your favorite author on the cover or Amazon page"My favorite author is Terry Pratchett, and I cannot find any books with a quote from him on the cover. :-("
I've been asking around and no luck here either. I can't believe Sir Terry would never have blurbed another book, but I suppose it's possible.
Terry Pratchett- if you want to stretch it, this link mentions books he has referred to or recommended, one being A short history of everything by Bill Bryson. I think if you want to go with Pratchett, it may require twisting the prompt slightly to be a book he has recommended.
I think you're right, Emma. Either stretch or choose someone else. :-(
I'm just really anal about things like this, but it's just a fun challenge, it's not like I'm going to jail for not following the prompts precisely :-D

No idea if he ever gave a cover quote for him or not, but my first thought was Neil Gaiman? They wrote together, so he'd be my first port of call if I was looking for someone he might have given a cover quote for.

Ron you should look into No Beast So Fierce: The Terrifying True Story of the Champawat Tiger, the Deadliest Man-Eater in History; it's nonfiction about a deadly tiger and how it was eventually hunted down. Fair warning, I didn't like this book that much but your mileage may vary.
Ron, I've just read the excellent novel Tiger and the author quotes as one of her sources:The Tiger: A True Story of Vengeance and Survival
Is it OK to fill one book into multiple prompts? I am doing several challenges this year and I plan to read 122 books but both of the other challenges I'm doing are shorter and allowed doubling. I looked around and couldn't find the answer, hope this is the right place to ask!

@Ketutar: Sir Terry Pratchett reviewed Neil Gaiman's Coraline. Coraline's Amazon page has his quote. It's not a cover quote but it fulfils the prompt: https://www.amazon.com/Coraline-Neil-...
My favorite author is J.R.R.Tolkien, what do you guys suggest for "a book with a quote from your favorite author on the cover or amazon page"? I'm starting with this one, as some of the tasks this year are really difficult, a lot of suggestions i found for other tasks are not applicable here in italy (different titles, covers or books that have not even been published here)

Fantastic Fiction has a couple of recommendations at the bottom of his author page, but I have not heard of either one to vouch for them. I might read something by one of his friends and contemporaries like C.S. Lewis or Charles Williams.

Thank you very much for the advice, I've found an edition of "Out of the Silent Planet" by C.S. Lewis with a quote from Tolkien on the cover!

Duology Nonfiction: Myth Ritual and Religion, Volume 1 and Myth Ritual and Religion Volume 2 by Andrew Lang
Wow, thanks for the recs everyone!I'll certainly take those all into consideration.
And now that I see that a 'duology' can mean volumes then it's perfect.

I would suggest you check out the discussion topics and related listopias the mods have set up. 😉
I know this book fits one of the prompts...anyone know which one? Instructions for Dancing by Nicola Yoon. Also
The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alix E. Harrow
The Ten Thousand Doors of January would fit in the parallel reality prompt, possibly also a book about a secret. If I remember correctly, I believe there's at least one "on-screen" party thrown by the main character's guardian, for the prompt of a book featuring a party.
Hi guys,If you're stuck for what to read I have just read Kissing the Witch by Emma Donoghue.
The prompts it covers are:
2. A Sapphic Book.
8. A book with a protagonist who uses a mobility aid.
16. A book about witches.
20. A book whose title begins with the last letter of your previous read (depending on what you last read, of course).
24. A book you can read in one sitting (about 140 pages depending on which edition you get. Mine was on Kindle).
And there are a few more on there you might be able to squeeze in.
Personally, I rated it 3-stars as it's not really my thing but I managed to read it over two days. I just thought I'd give you some ideas if you were stuck.
Here are the books I've read so far and the possible categories they can fit into:Elatsoe by Darcie Little Badger:
A book that features two languages,
A book that features a party,
A book about a secret,
A book with a character on the ace spectrum,
A book about the afterlife
The Nothing Man by Catherine Ryan Howard:
A book about a secret,
A book about someone leading a double life
The Lady's Guide to Petticoats and Piracy by Mackenzi Lee:
A book with a character on the ace spectrum,
A book featuring a party,
A book that features two languages
The Late Bus by Rick Jasper:
A book you can read in one sitting,
A book about the afterlife
Hello - I am currently reading Thursday Murder Club and I am not sure what prompt I can put it on for the challenge. Any suggestions would be welcomed.
I’m trying to find a book set across all four seasons or a single year for the “favorite season” prompt.
Ron wrote: "If anyone can help me with the onomatopoeia book that would be great. Preferably nonfiction."Gulp: Adventures on the Alimentary Canal or other books by Mary Roach
I was thinking about the hockey books but does anyone have any other books about the 1980s that are nonfiction?

Midnight in the Garden of Good and EvilI read:After Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil
Ron, you might find this list of interest:https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/1...
I could also swear that someone posted a link to NYT best sellers lists either last year or the year before, but now I can’t find it, though I remember using it to find a book for one of the prompts. It listed all their best sellers by decades, for both fiction and nonfiction.
Ron wrote: "Oh cool, thanks!"Okay so then it's perfectly fine if we can use books published in that time frame?
I’d say that depends on how literally you take the prompt. Personally, I went with a contemporary fiction published in the 80s because I knew it would be set in the 80s. It’s a little trickier with nonfiction. Some books published late 80s might be about something that happened in that decade. You could also look at similar lists to the one I suggested for books published in 1990s or 2000s.

For starters I'm looking for book suggestions regarding these topics:
1.) A book with a tiger or "tiger" in the title
2.) A book with an onomatopoeia in its title
