Game on, John!1. Middlemarch
8. The Fellowship of the Ring The Two Towers
3. The Dragonet Prophecy Truckin' & Trailerin'
5. Advice Not Given: A Guide to Getting Over Yourself
7. Revolutionary Characters: What Made the Founders Different - It reads like a collection of essays. A different founding father for each chapter. You would really like this one.
2. Hidden Valley Road: Inside the Mind of an American Family
I think I may be doubling up on some of these. I am still thinking of reading The Way We Live Now
oh we aren't reading the same books! Just the same categories. I read True Grit (movie) and Parable of the Sower (takes place in California). Both terrific .
Just finished The Peacekeeper; its a modern mystery, kindof CSI/Law and Order, but takes place in an alternate reality where Native Americans weren't colonized. I'm not a big mystery reader, or thriller reader, and this is the author's debut novel (she is a former colleague). So I'm calling it "A book by an author or a genre we normally wouldn't read."
