[ can i join? nobody is open right now ]

Katriana trailed her slender fingers down the railing of the staircase, wrinkling her nose at the peeling paint and chipped wood. This school really was in a ramshackle-state. It was practically falling apart, and everything looked so old and messy. The Luft definitely did not like messes. Everything had to be in a perfect state; neat and orderly, or else she would go insane. That's why she hated this place, the school was way too broken. Everything was chipping, peeling, breaking, rusting, or falling apart. Couldn't they have found a better place then this?

Okay, so maybe she was being a bit unreasonable. This was the only place they could find, in a desperate situation, so she just had to settle with it and wait until the place was all fixed up. Katriana wasn't a student during the massacre in the old school, where the massacre happened. She just arrived in the new location a few months ago. It was so sad though, how so many people died that day.

Reaching the bottom of the stairway, Katriana took in the ballroom. The stone floor was filled with cracks. Painting hung on the walls, maybe once vibrant, intricate works of art, but now peeling and fading, and the structures crooked.

Examining the seemingly vacant space, Katriana walked further through the ballroom, tilting her head at more of the mess. The ballroom would probably be fixed and restored close to last, mostly because everyone was trying to fix the more important places the inhabitants were more likely to use. Balls and dancing weren't as important as the classrooms or such. Which was a pity, because the ballroom really could be a beautiful part of the school, if restored.

Looking up, Katriana spotted a boy. He looked familiar..what element was he? Luft. Right. He was one of the best of the Luft, and one of the most ambitious, as well. Most Luft were laid back, calm, and go with the flow kind of people, but not this guy. What was his name again? Katriana riled through her mind for what else she knew about him. He was a year older than her, right?

"Nice place, right?" Katriana called out to the boy, referring to the ballroom.

[ I'm fine with it if Shahs fine with it ^-^ ]

You could hear her before you saw her, what with Narissa's need to wear heels or boots. Today, though, she was wearing the former. They, while being crazy cute, were just a little difficult to walk in with the decaying setting of her current habitat. Lips skewed into something resembling a swell of unhappiness and brows furrowed, she picked her way to the ballroom. No, she had no intention of daydreaming of what it might have looked like back in its glory days, but was more interested in finding a quiet place to plan out her day.

Staring was perfectly fine in her opinion, but Narissa felt it very much unwanted when she was planning. Because that's what made her so damn worship worthy--planning. Being a goddess is easy for her this way, though it was already an easy feat in her opinion. Which lead right back to her walking with a fierce intent on solitude that was knocked down a few pegs at the sight of two other people having beaten her to the ballroom.

Brow--perfectly plucked, by the way--raised and lips twisting back into a line of arrogant indifference, she placed a hand on her hip as she surveyed the scene for a moment. An audience to her affairs wasn't what she'd been looking for, but that's what she'd happened upon. Life worked out that way, huh? This must only mean things going for the better, then.

"Looks like this place is pretty popular."

[ sorry guys >.< ]

Katriana turned to see yet another student entering the ballroom. "It seems so," she replied to the girl. "Isen, right?" She didn't bother asking the boy; Skye was his name, Kat was pretty sure, as she already knew his element. Rifling through what she knew about the two students occupying the ballroom, Katriana wasn't surprised she barely knew anything about either of them. It wasn't surprising at all, seeing as she usually spent her free time secluded in her room or in an isolated part of the school, with the least amount of people. Although she was slightly annoyed that people were actually in the ballroom- as she had hoped it would be empty, Katriana pushed that thought down and forced a polite smile to both of the students before her.

Narissa's brows rose at the response that greeted her arrival. Not exactly what she'd been expecting, but any response was good enough for her. "Yes," she replied, voice somewhat nasally in her condescending tone, "How'd you know?" She, however, didn't bother to guess at what house they might be--because it didn't matter. What mattered was why they weren't excited to see her, especially the boy. That, that struck a chord. And she might just strike one of his in return.

"Well, everybody knows who you are," Katriana said to Narissa, holding back laughter. Narissa Dryne was one of those girls that everybody in the whole school- including teachers - was well aware of. Who didn't know this Isen chick? Katriana smiled stiffly at Narissa before nodding back at the other Luft. "And you're Skye Miles."

Of course they should've known who she was; it was just a simple inquiry. The stiff smiles and confirmation of her identity was just enough to irk her, but she found herself not to be totally pissed off with the pair before her. They would just need to chill out; or, warm up to her. Either way, they'd fall at her feet like everyone else. Because that's how it's always been, always will be.

"Katriana and Skye," she drawled, almost bored with their names. Just a regurgitation of syllables presented to her. "And you're both Luft; that's cool." Not really.
