Joyce (eternity21) | 198 comments I really loved the audiobook which is narrated by Frankie Corzo. This especially helped with all the Spanish names (of which I am terrible at). It also made it very lyrical sounding. Trying to figure out foreign names while reading always takes me out of the story. I did take a peek at how they are spelled by borrowing the print edition from the library as well. That helped me keep everyone in their order of the family,

I didn't expect that much in the beginning of the book. Then Orquidea (view spoiler). I loved it once stuff started happening.

Leesa (leesalogic) | 675 comments I listened to it in audio as well. enjoyed it very much!

Tina (javabird) | 767 comments The audio narrator was very good. I didn’t care much for the book, and was going to lem it (too much family drama, not my cup of tea), but I already lemmed several other picks this year so I wanted to try to finish it. The narrator made all the difference.

terpkristin | 4407 comments I agree the narrator is great. I was waffling on the pick when I realized it was more about death than I wanted. I lost my dad 3 months ago and this holiday season I don’t need a reminder but then I got through the scene and kept listening because I had 15 more minutes to get home and I couldn’t easily change. So I’m still listening but for awhile I was ready to shut it off. The narrator helped push through that.

Sorry to hear about your Dad. The nice thing about audio is you can kind of tune out if you really need to or speed it up and get over the area quickly.
