Vicks | 11 comments The whole book contains flash backs as well as present. How the hero goes about fixing his mistake in the present. He would have been engaged to her. She is innocent but gets caught up (don't remember if she was framed).

Vicks, what is the story's time period and location?

Are the main characters titled aristocrats?

Around what year did you read this book?

Vicks | 11 comments Kris - The book was set in regency i think. The time when breaking of engagements can shame a girl. It happens in London. I know the hero was titled above the heroine. Also after the breaking of engagement, heroine becomes a pariah. I don't remember if she moves to America or she becomes a lady for young ladies to accompany for balls.
I read it 5+ years ago :(.
