I had no idea Christina Henry had written on Sleepy Hollow too. I ought to check it out!
I hope you'll enjoy reading it and the other book.

Of course you can join!
The Women’s Fiction or Westerns Challenge only lasts until the end of February. In March we will be doing a Mystery and Thrillers challenge. (See the first post in this thread for the yearly schedule.)
You can post your monthly books for a challenge in the specific thread created for each month. The February challenge has a thread, but I’ll create a thread for March in a day or two.

I won't have the official thread posted for the July Game Month until the end of June. However, I know that members like to prepare book lists in advance and so I'm listing what the four Games will be for that challenge.
Game Month:
1. Action Challenge - Book title contains a verb.
2. Family Challenge - Book title contains a type of family member. (i.e. father, child, husband, wife, son, mother, etc.)
3. Water Challenge - Book title contains some type of water .
(i.e. river, rain, ocean, pool, water, etc.)
4. Proverb or Catch Phrase in Title (i. e. can be a pun, nursery rhyme, variation on a movie/book title, popular phrase, etc. Often seen in Cozies and other mysteries.)

Dagny wrote: "Super, thank you for posting this, Cheryl. It will give us time to see what turns up.
I forget, is each specific Challenge week by week in the order listed or any Challenge at any time during July?"
Dagny,
You can do whatever you’d like with the challenge. Any Game at any time during the month. Or you can just pick one of the four and focus on that. It’s totally up to you.

What's this supposed to mean? Are you being rude to Dagny? That won't be tolerated in this group, John.

Fran wrote: "Cheryl, thanks so much for posting the July Challenge. it will certainly make it easier to order library books."
Fran,
That’s why I posted it. I know I will be looking in my library’s catalogue to find books that fit this challenge. And the “Proverb or Catch Phrase” one is particularly challenging to find. (Thanks goes to Heena for providing that very interesting game.) I think the difficult challenges always feel more satisfying than the others when you find a book to fit them.

John, what the hell is that comment supposed to mean? Kindly do not be rude to any member, especially not to any moderator. It will not be tolerated! If I don't see a heartfelt apology from you for Dagy (or whoever the insult was meant to) within 24 hrs then I will be removing and blocking you from the group.
Oh no... I was deleting John's comment and by mistake, I deleted your comment, Dagny. I am so sorry! Is there a way to recover deleted comments?
Cheryl and Dagny,
I was free today so thought why not create the challenge page for the next month now and have it ready for everyone in advance as this is the first time we are having this super amazing challenge!
I hope that's okay with you both.

After a year full of various ups and downs both literal and metaphorical, we are yet again staring at the end of another year. I personally still feel kind of stuck in the year 2020 somehow, not being able to comprehend how the time went by and yet at the same time not able to bear the thought of being stuck in 2020 It is weird, to say the least. I am sure many of you might feel the same way or something similar to it. If you don't, then consider yourself lucky! For those of us who do feel this way though I think I speak for everyone here that books are one of those things that helped save our souls and sanity!
When I started RMFAO in 2014, it was only because I was obsessed with the idea of being a part of a book club. But looking back I now realize that I never thought that one day it will become a place of refuge for likeminded bookslovers where we will be able to find respite when the world around us would crumble. Through the thick and thins of life and having faced (and still facing) and dealing with the consequences of a calamitous epidemic, I would like to welcome you all with open arms and a warm smile to come join us for another year of finding ourselves by being lost in the various fictional, fantasy and even non-fictional worlds - wherever your mind and heart may find peace.
Dear readers, Moderators Dagny and Cheryl and I are here with the 8th instalment of one of our original reading challenges RMFAO 2022 Genre Challenge .
With 17 genres to be read over 12 months and a special game month in July, we are back with loads of adventures for the daring booklovers.
For those who are new here, in Genre Challenge we read one genre every month (two genres when we have the alternate-genre months.) We post the genre list in advance so that everyone can plan their reads in advance. The focus of this challenge is not only to read more books in the genre we love but also to explore new, long-forgotten, unfamiliar or lesser-known genres. As we don't want to burden or restrict the participants by specifying sub-genres because that creates a very different set of its own problems that will hinder the actual reading. Therefore, you can pick the sub-genres as per your convenience.
You do not have to buy new books to participate in this challenge; all you have to do is go through the books you already have and organise your TBR-list as per the genres for this challenge.
Another, one of the coolest things, about this challenge is that the modtoreras are super awesome and keep on sharing tons of resources and recommendations!!
In order to participate, simply announce your participation here (you can even blog about it if you want to.)
