dancing with the rain
note: this is actually the first poem i ever wrote that got me into this poetry phase i have. lol, sylvie's seen this one. enjoy!
colorful words
dampened my surface
each one pounding harder than the last
like drumsticks
playing an endless song
but i danced
waiting for the storm to end
hoping that eventually
the notes would stop
and that day
as i saw the rainbow fade
i wished for my own demise

one day your life
will be dripping down the drain
and i wonโt save the water
or your foolish pain
cause i hope youโll remember me
how i suffered
with no help guaranteed
yet here i am standing
kneeling for us to be eye to eye
do you see what hurt me?
i hope your reflection
haunts you like it did to me
cause you poisoned my dreams
and stole away the purity
the water once so clear
now struggles to get any air
yes, now thatโs you
and i hope you can finally see through
the blinds that were undefined
now blast with force to get by
the pain you once stab through our lives
so how does it feel
to be the victim this time?

i donโt have time
cause listening to sad love songs
pull me too deep
into the melancholy tears
that drown with
restrained emotion
at least those voices
met love
cause i sit here
waiting for a visit
thatโll never come

trapped
my dreams
are slipping
as i run away
can't stop mistakes
from chasing
as reality falls down
and i'm trapped
in a space
where i can't breathe
the wall,
they're clutching me
i'll never quite break free
when expectation
berate thee
but i still smile
though not all smiles
are happy
cause ignoring truths
brings me
temporary happiness
so let me
fake perfection
with burdens
weighing upon my shoulders
though gravity is stronger
i still have to try
cause i got to survive
till the end
