Would you risk an NDE to attain EO abilities?

What would be your preferred way to attain such abilities?

Out of the powers we've seen in the novel, which one would you want most and least? Why?

The novel is pushing us into believing that both Victor and Eli are bad, but Eli is worse. Why do you think the author could have decided to give Eli self-healing powers instead of something more aggressive?

Do you think Mitch should get a superpower in the sequel? He seems to be the only one around that doesn't have powers.
